19,000 healthcare jobs added in April
New jobs in the healthcare sector continued to grow in April, with the sector adding 19,000, reported the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics today.
April’s growth in healthcare employment was led by gains in ambulatory healthcare services, which includes home healthcare services and doctors’ offices. The new numbers show a slight slowing in growth as compared to previous months. Healthcare has added an average of 28,000 jobs per month over the last 12 months.
