Kellogg’s recalls select packages of Frosted and Unfrosted Mini-Wheats
The Kellogg Company announced Wednesday that it has initiated a voluntary recall of several of its cereals from the shelves of Sam’s Club and Walmart stores due to the possible presence of flexible metal mesh fragments.
Those fragments made it in to several types of the company’s Frosted and Unfrosted Mini-Wheats cereals due to a faulty manufacturing part, the company said.
The recalled products at Sam’s Club include the Kellogg’s Cereal Assortment Jumbo Pack (30 count) with “Better if Used Before” dates between April 1, 2013 and Sept. 21, 2013.
The recalled products at Walmart are threefold, with all of the recalled products being boxes of Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size cereals. For the 18-ounce, 24-ounce and 30-ounce cartons, the boxes being recalled all have “Better if Used Before” dates between April 1, 2013 and Sept. 21, 2013.
Customers with an affected product who have additional questions are being urged to contact the Kellogg Consumer Response Center by phone at 800-962-1413 between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m..
