Two West Virginia nursing home nurses were held up at gunpoint by a man dressed as a clown.
The man, who authorities say was wearing gray scrub pants, blue Croc shoes and a face covered in clown makeup, broke into the Teays Valley Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility owned by Genesis HealthCare, on Wednesday. He demanded prescription drugs from the nurses and left quickly. Police were still looking for him Thursday.
Genesis spokeswoman Jeanne Moore said all residents were in their rooms during the 1 a.m. break-in, and that none were involved in the incident. She said the company was “extremely concerned” and studying extra measures to try to prevent a similar incident.
